The Department of Neurology at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences provides comprehensive clinical services to the communities of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, managing a wide spectrum of neurological disorders. A core component of our mission is educating the next generation of physicians through rigorous programs for medical students, residents, and fellows, while simultaneously advancing the field through innovative research in neurological disorders.
We are seeking an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Neurology with a specialization in Epileptology to join our academic faculty. This is a full-time academic position that integrates clinical excellence, medical education, and scholarly research. The successful candidate will serve as a vital link in our neurology practice, balancing patient care with the mentorship of trainees and the pursuit of research funding.
The role offers a dynamic day-to-day experience, including leading EEG services with a 1-in-6 rotation, reading intraoperative monitoring (IOM) studies, and managing general neurology inpatient services. You will spend significant time in outpatient clinics and continuity clinics, ensuring high-quality care for patients while actively precepting medical students and residents. Beyond clinical duties, you will be expected to contribute to the department's administrative functions and participate in key educational conferences such as Grand Rounds and Morbidity and Mortality meetings.
Candidates must be MD/DOs who have completed a neurology residency and a fellowship in epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology. Board certification is required, or candidates must become certified within three years of recruitment. The University of Toledo seeks individuals committed to the highest levels of professional competence and diversity.
