The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences serves the communities of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Our mission is twofold: providing comprehensive clinical services for all types of cardiovascular diseases and educating the next generation of physicians through advanced training programs in both non-invasive and invasive cardiology.
We operate a state-of-the-art cardiovascular facility offering a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services. Our division is a collaborative environment consisting of full-time faculty, advanced-practice providers, and a robust fellowship program that trains general and interventional cardiology fellows.
As a General Cardiologist, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to clinical excellence and academic growth. This position offers a unique blend of patient care, teaching, and research. You will lead weekly outpatient and imaging sessions, manage inpatient cardiology consults and critical care services, and serve as a preceptor for fellows, residents, and medical students.
Beyond clinical duties, this role is designed for those with a strong interest in non-invasive imaging, including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and nuclear studies. You will have the opportunity to shape your academic trajectory through independent research tailored to your interests, whether on the Research Track, Clinical Scholar Track, or Clinical Educator Track. Teaching is a significant component of the position, involving the training of fellows and residents and active participation in conferences and service committees.
