As an Armed Vault Custodian, you will work closely with your team to maintain inventory within our secure cash vaults for Loomis customers. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and security of high-value assets, requiring a blend of physical endurance, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a controlled, low-light environment.
You will be stationed in a PM shift environment, typically starting at 12:30 PM and concluding between 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM, with an average end time of 9:00 PM. The position involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm where you will check identifying numbers and seals on deposit bags against manifests, count items, and record serial numbers. A significant portion of your time will be spent physically managing cargo, including loading and unloading wagons or flatbed carts with bags and boxes of coin, as well as sorting individual items by route.
Communication is a key component of the role; you will frequently interact verbally with co-workers and customers via telephone while navigating the vault's bins, booths, and counters. The work environment is unique, often taking place in a room with little to no exposure to outside light, requiring you to stand on concrete floors for approximately 80% of the shift.
As part of the qualification process for the Vault Custodian position, all candidates must successfully complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE). This evaluation tests physical capabilities including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand strength to ensure you can safely meet the demands of the role.
