Armed Security Transportation Officer

Paragon Professional Services is seeking Transportation Officers to support Armed Ground Transportation Services for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Maryland. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and secure movement of detainees within the federal detention system.

As a Transportation Officer, you will operate within a 24/7 contract environment, assuming full-time status. The position requires a high level of vigilance and adherence to PBNDS Standards and Training. You will be responsible for documenting all detainee transports, maintaining vehicle safety records, and ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are present before and after every trip. The role involves rotating shifts and may include stationed duties at guard posts, such as hospitals, where adherence to specific post orders and protocols is mandatory.

Candidates must be prepared for a rigorous onboarding and training process. The average completion time for onboarding and contract-required training is roughly 4 to 8 weeks. Training covers essential topics including Use of Force, Tactics, Weapon Safety, and Range Qualifications. Officers must maintain a valid Armed Guard/Firearms permit and pass periodic firearms recertification quarterly, achieving a minimum score of 200 out of 250 points.

Applicants will be contacted via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submittal. As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to access military installations.
