Lead Armed Transportation Officer

About the Role

Paragon Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Lead Armed Transportation Officer to support DHS/ICE operations in Newark, NJ. In this critical position, you will serve as a key member of a 24/7 team responsible for the secure transportation of detainees throughout the Newark Area of Responsibility (AOR). This role is designed for individuals who can maintain high levels of vigilance while ensuring the safety and security of all individuals in custody.

As a Lead Officer, you will work closely with the site supervisor to ensure the efficient execution of contract requirements. You will act as a back-up supervisor in the absence of the site lead, mentoring and training transportation officers in the field. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve executing transportation duties in strict accordance with PBNDS Standards and Training, ensuring all detainee transports are meticulously documented and that records and possessions are safeguarded at all times.

You will be responsible for the integrity of the transportation process, from verifying required documentation prior to departure to reporting any route variations immediately to the Operations Supervisor and Transportation Coordinator. Whether operating as a driver or passenger within a transportation vehicle, you will maintain constant mental alertness and ensure all assigned vehicles are equipped with necessary safety and security devices. This role requires a professional who can navigate complex environments, including potential exposure to contagious pathogens, while adhering to strict post orders and hospital protocols if assigned to stationary guard posts.
