The Inventory Specialist serves as a critical operational partner within the OIM (Order Inventory Management) framework, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from procurement to shipment. This role exists to bridge the gap between physical warehouse operations and data-driven inventory control, directly impacting the efficiency of the selection and shipping processes.
In this position, you will manage the full lifecycle of inventory, from monitoring levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations to coordinating the rotation or disposal of obsolete items. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, constantly evaluating current workflows to identify opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including purchasing and logistics, to forecast needs and optimize procurement processes.
A typical day involves maintaining accurate records in inventory systems, conducting physical audits, and analyzing data to spot trends. You will also play a key role in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and educating warehouse staff on new inventory processes. Success in this role demands the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail, particularly when identifying defective products or negotiating with vendors.
Work model: On-site
