About the Role
Shields Point, LLC, in partnership with Afognak Native Corporation, is seeking dynamic Full-Time Armed Security Supervisors to support the Department of Transportation Armed Security Contract in Washington, D.C. This role is designed for leaders with a strong background in law enforcement or security management who are adept at interacting with government personnel and ensuring strict compliance with the contract statement of work.
As a supervisor, you will lead a team of over 15 armed guards, ensuring they are properly trained, uniformed, and prepared to handle emergencies. Your day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing access control, visitor processing, patrols, and emergency responses to maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors at DOT HQ and Federal Buildings. You will act as a key liaison, conducting post inspections, monitoring performance, and coordinating with the Facility Commander to ensure operational readiness and contract compliance.

Application & Hiring Process
Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active Public Trust Tier 2 Security Clearance and relevant certifications (FPS A-9 Armed Contract Security Officer). The selection process involves a review of professional references showcasing experience managing large security teams, followed by medical exams, physical abilities tests, and drug screenings as required. Successful candidates will also complete supervisory training.
