About the Role
As an Area Director, you will lead multiple school-age childcare programs across Western New York, driving program quality, enrollment, and team success across your region. This role specifically supports sites in the Finger Lakes region (Naples, Kendall, Exploration) and the Greater Buffalo area (DB Bunce, Akron, Attica).
You will oversee Site Directors and staff, conducting regular site visits to ensure each program operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with NYS OCFS regulations. Success in this role means maintaining strong relationships with school partners and families while developing high-performing teams. You will be part of a rapidly expanding organization with opportunities for advancement, working within a collaborative, mission-driven team that values accountability and support.

- check_circleMonitor staff credentials, background checks, and training certifications
- check_circleLead multiple school-age childcare programs across Western New York regions
- check_circleUtilize Microsoft 365 for reporting, communication, and data management
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years experience with children under 13 including 1 year supervisory
- verifiedTwo years of college with 18 credits in related field plus 2 years experience with children under 13 including 1 year supervisory
- verifiedNY State Children's Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years relevant experience
- verifiedSchool-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent plus 2 years relevant experience
- verifiedProficiency in Microsoft 365
- verifiedExperience with HRIS and attendance systems
- verifiedMedically cleared to perform job duties
- verifiedAble to lift up to 50 lbs
