Join Stantec's Cultural Resources team in and around our Riverview and Tallahassee, FL offices to play an integral role in conducting archaeological survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring. This position is designed for on-call archaeological technicians who are naturally committed to the environment and eager to collaborate with top professionals on work vital to our clients and the communities they serve.
The ideal candidate will have previous field experience in Phase I, II, and III archaeological survey. This role requires travel throughout Florida as well as surrounding southeastern states. You will engage in 5- or 10-day rotations consisting of 8-10-hour work days, performing tasks such as controlled surface survey, shovel testing, and excavation. Stantec supports this fieldwork with paid travel days, project-based per diem, and single occupancy hotel rooms for non-local projects.
Qualified applicants should exhibit strong technical skills, good communication skills, and feel comfortable making decisions in the field.
