We are looking for an Application (Proposals) Engineer to join our Power Group, where you will play a key role in shaping solutions for customers across a range of industries. In this position, you will work independently to design, build, and support mechanical systems driven by thermodynamics and heat transfer principles. Your day will involve analyzing system performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing troubleshooting support.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, guiding them from initial inquiry through to confirmed orders. This includes selecting appropriate equipment, determining sizing and cost, and negotiating solutions directly with clients. The role offers significant autonomy and variety, allowing you to influence customer outcomes directly while maintaining proactive communication throughout the quotation phase. Once orders are secured, you will ensure a clear handover to the projects team and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is office-based at our offices near Oakham (PE9 4AQ). The position involves approximately 30% travel across Europe and the Middle East to visit customer sites, discuss proposals, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
