About the Role
The Application Engineer serves as the critical bridge between customer needs and product reality. In this position, you will translate complex technical requirements into actionable product specifications, designing and validating new features while developing custom mechanical components. The role is designed for those who thrive on solving real-world engineering challenges, ensuring that every product implementation aligns perfectly with customer expectations.
Your day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of deep technical work and direct customer engagement. You will define internal specifications for new hardware and software features, create product concepts and simulations, and provide on-site system integration support. Beyond the design phase, you will be the face of the product during customer training, responding to inquiries and resolving performance issues to ensure reliability. This role requires a professional, team-oriented approach, collaborating cross-functionally to drive projects from concept to successful deployment.
Travel and Location
Based in the Billerica, MA area, this role offers a global perspective with approximately 20% travel required. This includes both domestic trips and international travel to Asia, providing opportunities to engage with a diverse range of customers and teams.
