Application Engineer

About the Role

The Application Engineer serves as a critical bridge between customer needs and product innovation within the Billerica, MA area. This position is dedicated to translating complex customer technical requirements into precise product specifications, designing and validating new features, and developing custom mechanical components. The role ensures successful product implementation through on-site support, cross-functional collaboration, and the maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation.

Day-to-day, you will interpret mechanical, electrical, and software requirements to define internal specifications for new hardware and software features. You will be responsible for developing product concepts, running simulations, and creating custom mechanical designs. A significant portion of the role involves providing on-site system integration support and customer training, as well as resolving product performance and reliability issues. Additionally, you will create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, presentations, and release notes, while participating in project planning and cross-functional team meetings.

This role requires approximately 20% travel, including domestic and international trips to Asia, to support customers and ensure seamless system integration.
