This position serves as an AOC Training Improvement Support Specialist located at the 609th Air Operations Center (AOC) on Shaw AFB, SC. The role is designed to facilitate the cross-flow of training support and information exchange between AOC units and Higher Headquarters. You will act as a critical link in the training ecosystem, defining hardware requirements for exercises, managing configuration plans, and providing expertise for training events designated by Air Combat Command (ACC) or Central Command (CENTCOM).
In this capacity, you will support forward operating locations within the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility and participate in monthly information exchange programs to share lessons learned and best practices. Your work will involve evaluating exercise systems, supporting Staff Assistance Visits, and exploring new training technologies to enhance AOC weapon system capabilities. This role requires a professional who can work independently to review current training plans and incorporate joint publications into unit programs, ensuring continuous improvement in operational readiness.
