The way buyers research and select identity security and IGA platforms is changing fast. A meaningful and growing share of our prospects no longer start with Google search results. They start with prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Google's AI Overviews, and they take those answers seriously. Whether a company surfaces in those answers, and how it is described when it does, is an increasingly critical factor for pipeline and brand.
This role focuses on Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), also called Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You will own how SailPoint's brand, products, point of view, and category narrative show up when buyers ask AI engines questions about our space. Traditional SEO does not go away, and you will continue to run that program, but the center of gravity of this role is AEO.
You will succeed by setting the strategy, executing the work that lives with you, and influencing SailPoint crew across product marketing, content, communications, customer marketing, web, and analyst relations to do their part. This is an individual contributor role, and you will report directly to the VP of Digital Marketing.
This is one of the few seats in B2B SaaS marketing where the playbook is being written right now, and SailPoint is one of the few places where it can be written at scale. We are the category leader in identity security, recently back in the public markets, and actively defining what comes next: adaptive identity, agent identity, and identity-first security for AI. The narrative buyers are forming about our category in AI engines right now will shape this market for years. You will own that surface.
You will not be retrofitting AEO onto a checklist someone else built. Modern tooling is already in place, executive sponsorship is real, and the VP of Digital Marketing is the owner of this initiative. You will define what good looks like for SailPoint, and arguably for our space.

Experience marketing in identity security, IAM, IGA, cybersecurity, or similar B2B category. Experience contributing to digital PR or earned media programs, and working with analyst relations teams. Direct familiarity with Profound and/or Conductor. A portfolio of 'GEO wins' — concrete, documented examples of moving the needle on brand visibility, citation, or sentiment inside answer engines.
