About the Role and Location
Crouse Health Hospital in Syracuse, New York, offers a dynamic anesthesiologist opportunity in a setting ideal for outdoor exploration. The hospital is centrally located within a one-block radius, encompassing the main hospital and three Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). This configuration provides a collegial anesthesia environment with supportive working relationships among surgeons and OR staff, backed by excellent anesthesia tech support and a Pre-Op Testing Center.
Syracuse is a medium-sized metropolitan area featuring a vibrant scene of restaurants, events, shopping, and bars. For outdoor enthusiasts, the region offers boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and golf. The location serves as a short drive to the Adirondack Mountains, the Thousand Islands, and the Finger Lakes wine region. The area is also home to major universities, including Syracuse University and Upstate Medical University.
Team and Culture
The team operates under a care-team model led by Chief Anesthesiologist Venkatarao Kamani. Staff members collaborate closely to ensure high-quality patient care. The position involves a diverse range of case assignments, including General, GYN, Bariatrics, Robotics, Ortho, Spine, Crani's, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology/Renal, ENT, Eyes, Plastics, Podiatry, Endo, EP/Cath Lab, and Healthy Peds. Please note that no open heart surgeries are performed at this facility.
