This position serves as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer within the 512th Operations Support Squadron at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. As a standardization and evaluation officer, you will lead the unit's program for assessing the ground and flight performance of aircrew members. This role is critical to maintaining the operational readiness of the 512th Airlift Wing, ensuring that all flight operations adhere to strict safety and performance standards.
You will manage the comprehensive Stan/Eval program, making high-level decisions regarding the employment of unit-assigned aircraft based on their capabilities and limitations. Your day-to-day involves scheduling aircrew and instructors for rigorous examinations, reviewing performance indicators, and analyzing trends to drive continuous improvement. In addition to your management duties, you will actively fly as an instructor/evaluator to demonstrate expertise and maintain currency in multi-engine or jet aircraft.
This is a key management position designated as a mobility role, requiring the incumbent to formulate and influence policies that impact the broader Air Force Reserve Command. The position demands a unique blend of military aviation expertise and federal personnel management skills, with the expectation that you will maintain a Top-Secret clearance and serve as a leader within the AFRC structure.
