This Buyer II position is a 12-month, 100% onsite opportunity located in Wilmington, NC, designed to support critical production needs. The role serves as a vital link between inventory management, vendor relations, and accounting functions. You will manage selected inventory items throughout their entire life cycle, from new parts to obsolescence, ensuring production continuity while controlling costs.
Your day-to-day involves managing inventory purchasing, analyzing replenishment needs for commodities and special orders, and handling order confirmations and changes. You will act as a resourceful self-starter, collaborating with corporate contract suppliers to align parts and resolve invoice issues. The role requires close interaction with accounting teams to investigate standard costs, item codes, and transaction issues, as well as compiling monthly purchase order reports for audit requirements.
Given the nature of supporting production, this role often requires flexibility beyond standard hours. You may start as early as 7:00 AM or work until 6:00 PM, including flexible lunch hours, to ensure full coverage. This is a W2-only position; third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered.
