We are seeking a Structures Mechanic to join our team in Saint Augustine, FL, where you will play a critical role in assembling and maintaining major aircraft structures. In this position, you will work on complex components such as fuselage panels, bulkheads, rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the integrity and precision of these critical airframe elements.
You will be responsible for aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures, followed by performing detailed fitting operations including filing, sawing, crimping, riveting, drilling, and reaming. The role requires the ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical orders to fabricate structural assemblies from materials such as titanium, aluminum, and composites. You will also monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures, ensuring all work meets rigorous safety and manufacturing standards.
As a Mechanic 3, you will often serve as a resource for lower-level technicians, providing guidance on troubleshooting complex malfunctions and sharing your knowledge of bonding practices and structural repair manuals. This is a hands-on role that demands physical stamina, as you may need to lift 25–50 lbs, work in confined or elevated spaces, and handle hazardous materials.
This position is based at our Saint Augustine facility and requires on-site presence; telecommuting is not available. The role offers flexibility with the ability to work any shift as needed, including the 1st shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM) or the 2nd shift (4:30 PM – 3:00 AM). You will be expected to perform strenuous work and navigate various physical environments, including awkward spaces and heights, while adhering to strict safety protocols and proper PPE usage.
