This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. As part of a hardworking team of Fabricators and Engineers, you will work from engineering blueprints to create tubing and piping systems, as well as customized pneumatic panels supporting field installs. The position requires adaptability, as priorities often shift rapidly to meet tight mission-critical timelines. This role reports to the production manager and directly supports our manufacturing integration teams.

Some technical coursework and/or AA technical degree/equivalent. Orbital Tube Welding (OTW) experience. Experience in aerospace, military, or other high-reliability environments. Direct experience with ground support equipment (GSE) in aerospace or similar industries. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, and general shop equipment. Proven problem-solving ability in fast-paced, high-consequence environments. Knowledge of vacuum systems, hydraulic systems, and pumps. Experience performing vacuum leak testing per ASME standards. Familiarity with fluid system fittings (e.g., NPT, AN). Experience with precision tube bending and fabrication. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams). Understanding of hazardous systems, including cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic, and pyrophoric materials. Knowledge of high-pressure system design, operation, and safety practices.
