As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations to detect, prevent, and apprehend terrorists, weapons, and contraband attempting to illegally enter or attack the United States. This is a security-based, full-time career designed for those seeking an exciting and rewarding path with exceptional federal benefits and job stability.
You will work with a team dedicated to conducting air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities against smuggled goods via land, air, or sea. Your day-to-day involves monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts. Seasoned pilots and those with military training are in high demand.
Duty locations are assigned based on operational, mission, and critical agency hiring needs. You must be willing to work at any location within the region you select. Potential locations include:
AMO utilizes a streamlined application process for these opportunities. The process includes a flight assessment and requires successful completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC) as a condition of employment. Failure to complete the required training may result in separation or reassignment.
