About the Role

The Student Nutrition Aide is a vital part of the school community, dedicated to making meal service a pleasant and safe experience for students. In this 3.5-hour position, you will circulate through the cafeteria to ensure compliance with health, safety, and school regulations while fostering a positive dining environment.

Your day involves managing students during meal service, encouraging good table manners, and promoting healthy eating habits by helping students try unfamiliar foods. You will work closely with Student Nutrition Services staff to handle special diet requests and assist with food tastings, gathering student feedback on new menu items. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and orderly cafeteria, including preparing and cleaning "allergy-free" tables and ensuring the space is ready for the next group of students.
