The Department of Agricultural Economics and Economics (DAEE) is jointly administered by the College of Agriculture and the College of Letters and Science. The department is home to 20 tenured or tenure-track faculty members who are highly productive scholars with a focus on quality publications in leading refereed journals. We offer undergraduate degrees in Agricultural Business, Economics, and Financial Engineering (joint with the College of Engineering), with approximately 360 undergraduate majors and 100 minors. Additionally, the department offers a rigorous, highly respected Master's in Applied Economics, graduating an average of six students per year.
We are seeking a Visiting Instructor for the Academic Year 2026-27 to join our team. This non-tenure track position carries a 3-3 teaching load (0.6 FTE) and includes instruction in intermediate microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, and intermediate macroeconomics. The successful candidate will teach on-campus courses, advise and evaluate students, and collaborate with peer leaders if assigned. This role is designed for individuals who work professionally with diverse constituencies and possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to contribute positively to the academic success of our students and the mission of Montana State University.
