The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) serves as a critical clinical leader within the DeKalb Regional Crisis Center, providing advanced psychiatric and medical care to individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crises. This role exists to ensure safe, effective stabilization for adults requiring crisis intervention, ranging from immediate evaluation to longer-term substance withdrawal management.
In this fast-paced, trauma-informed environment, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and manage mental health and co-occurring substance use conditions. Your day will involve conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, managing psychopharmacological regimens, and providing immediate support during behavioral health emergencies. You will serve as a clinical lead during crises, coordinating care from admission through discharge planning while ensuring continuity with families and external providers.
