This position serves as the vital link between prospective residents, their families, and our healthcare facility. The primary mission is to manage the admissions process with efficiency and empathy, ensuring a positive experience from the first inquiry through to the resident's arrival. You will be responsible for planning and directing daily operations to meet census goals while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
In this role, you will create an atmosphere of warmth and personal interest, fostering a calm environment throughout the facility. Your day involves collaborating with the Director of Nursing, Case Managers, and other department leaders to ensure timely communication and the appropriateness of every admission. You will act as an educator, explaining admission criteria to patients and families, verifying insurance coverage, and coordinating essential physical, social, and support services.
Beyond individual admissions, you will nurture relationships with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners to maximize referrals. This includes assisting in the planning and execution of outreach events, such as health fairs and educational programs, to attract key community partners. As a supervisor, you will also guide your team in maintaining accurate bed availability records and ensuring all staff adhere to safety protocols, including Standard Precautions and emergency evacuation procedures.
