About the Role
The Administrative Supervisor serves as the "Administrator in residence" during non-business hours, coordinating all administrative and nursing activities to ensure a standard of excellence in patient care. This position provides managerial supervision for a facility serving a diverse patient population ranging from neonatal to geriatric, including normal through critically ill individuals. The role requires a deep understanding of the functional and developmental needs of each patient served.
As a key leader, you will actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. You are expected to demonstrate behavior consistent with the organization's Core Values, supporting the strategic plan and the goals of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). Your leadership ensures that standards remain consistent with the mission, values, strategic plans, accepted professional practices, and local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Day in the Life
Your shift involves a dynamic blend of clinical oversight and administrative coordination. You will identify customer service requirements and make analytical decisions based on current, valid data. A significant portion of your time is dedicated to bed control, coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers based on InterQual criteria, with a goal of moving ED admits and transfers to the unit within one hour of the order.\n You will maintain strict adherence to HIPAA requirements and assist staff in meeting confidentiality standards. Your presence on the floor is vital; you will round on all nursing units a minimum of two times each shift to monitor operations and support staff. Additionally, you will attend leadership and department staff meetings to stay informed, transmit management decisions to the team, and represent the department on multidisciplinary task forces as requested.

Requirements
