About RF for SUNY at the University at Albany

Employment is with The Research Foundation for the State University of New York, a private, nonprofit educational corporation that provides essential sponsored program administration and innovation support services to SUNY faculty and students. The Foundation supports ideas and research that generate ground-breaking discoveries and translate into entrepreneurial and economic development opportunities for New York State.

Working at the SUNY Research Foundation for the University at Albany places you within a team dedicated to providing essential services as the University moves to the front ranks of American higher education. The University at Albany is a nationally recognized research university with outstanding faculty, researchers, and staff, offering challenging and rewarding careers to those who seek opportunities to grow and excel. About the Role

The Child Research and Study Center is an official university-based unit serving as a longstanding, externally funded hub of interdisciplinary scholarship dedicated to improving student outcomes across academic and developmental domains. For decades, the Center has sustained competitive federal, state, and foundation funding to design, evaluate, and scale evidence-based practices. These practices integrate social-emotional and behavioral health with literacy development, areas widely shown to be interconnected in promoting student success.

Through partnerships with schools and communities, the Center advances inclusive approaches that support all learners, including students with disabilities, while contributing to the research base, professional development, and policy guidance needed to improve educational systems at scale.

The Administrative Manager serves as the operational backbone for The New York State Pyramid Model Implementation and Scale-up project. This role is critical for organizing and coordinating office administrative procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. You will support the execution of activities defined by the project's annual workplan and deliverables, which are funded by the Preschool Development Birth through Five Initiative (PDG B-5) Grant from the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Your day-to-day impact involves managing personnel paperwork, maintaining secure record-keeping systems, and ensuring the integrity of confidential data. You will facilitate communication by attending meetings to record minutes, coordinating logistical needs for quarterly State Leadership Team meetings and the annual in-person Pyramid Model Summit, and assisting participants through registration and credential processes. Additionally, you will help manage project social media accounts and synthesize data summaries from Regional Coordinators to support statewide efforts.
