The Medical Education Administrative Manager serves as a strategic leader for the Department of Surgery, reflecting the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine. This role is dedicated to driving innovation and optimizing operations for surgical medical education, ensuring the delivery of exceptional educational experiences for students, residents, and staff.
You will act as the vital bridge between medical education, pedagogy, and technology across online, clinical, and simulation environments. Reporting to the NMHC Director of Academic Affairs, you will translate the GME, Hospital, and Departmental missions into effective action. As a key liaison, you will advocate for residents and coordinate activities between the integrated hospitals of McGaw Medical Center, NMHC's Academic Affairs team, and Northwestern University's Graduate Medical Education Office.
Your day-to-day involves partnering with faculty and trainees to create distinctive educational experiences, overseeing faculty development programs, and managing the integrity of residency program operations. You will ensure compliance with ACGME and McGaw guidelines, prepare for residency review committee evaluations, and manage the systems that track resident performance and faculty evaluations. This is a role for someone who wants to make a difference through volunteer opportunities and drive inclusive change through workforce-led resource groups.
