The Zimpleman College of Business seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to work in a multi-faceted position interacting with college administrators, faculty, staff, and students. This is a full-time, 12-month position designed to support the operational heartbeat of the college.
In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the Dean's Office, faculty, and students. Your day will involve a blend of financial stewardship, administrative coordination, and facilities management. You will provide essential budget support for operational finance, assist with the annual scholarship distribution, and manage the faculty course evaluation process for accreditation reporting. Beyond finance, you will act as a back-up for the Dean's Assistant, handling onboarding and offboarding for faculty and staff.
You will also assume responsibility as the assistant building manager for Aliber Hall. This includes coordinating room scheduling, processing facilities and technology work orders, managing supply inventory, and supporting meeting room technology. Success in this role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to demonstrate initiative and independent decision-making, and a broad understanding of Drake University and the Zimpleman College of Business to perform duties effectively.
