Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is the nation's largest nonprofit dialysis provider. Since opening our first clinic 50 years ago in Nashville, Tennessee, our family has grown to include more than 270 locations across 30 states, serving nearly 14,000 patients daily. Our mission is clear: "the care of the patient is our reason for existence." We are dedicated to a holistic approach, offering hemodialysis, home dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis options to empower patients to live meaningful, productive lives while reducing hospitalizations.
We invest deeply in our care teams and fund research to further kidney care and treatment options. Our culture is built on compassion and individualized care, ensuring every patient interaction embodies our sole purpose. We offer a comfortable clinical setting with a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio than other providers, allowing our team to build genuine relationships and find fulfillment in their work.
The Administrative Assistant plays a vital support role in our clinical operations, serving as the Medical Record Practitioner for the satellite clinic. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity of patient care by ensuring the proper maintenance, security, storage, and destruction of medical records in strict compliance with HIPAA.
You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting them warmly and directing them to their appropriate destinations. Your day will involve managing communications, creating correspondence and reports, and maintaining accurate billing information for both in-center and transient patients. You will verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations, and assist Accounts Receivable personnel in collecting delinquent accounts. Additionally, you will verify patient status daily, prepare admission packets, and provide clerical support to the Nurse Manager, Area Operations Director, and clinical staff. This role offers paid training and the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that values your contribution to our nonprofit mission.
