The UI Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is a national leader in pediatric medicine. Our mission is to provide outstanding care to the children of Iowa and beyond by being a leader in state-of-the-art clinical care, performing cutting-edge research to find new treatments and cures for childhood illnesses, and educating the next generation of pediatric health care providers. The Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology is home to Iowa's only pediatric rheumatologists. These specialists possess the unique training, expertise, and experience required to treat children and young adults with rheumatic diseases. These disorders, which affect the joints, muscles, spine, and skin, often involve uncontrolled inflammation where the body's immune system attacks its own healthy cells and tissues. This role serves as a critical operational partner to the Division, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily activities, patient access, and administrative support for our faculty and trainees.
As an Administrative Services Coordinator, you will operate under general supervision to provide comprehensive administrative support for the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology. You will act as a primary liaison for faculty, staff, students, and the public, interpreting policies and procedures to resolve inquiries and manage complex workflows. Your day will involve coordinating specialized events, optimizing scheduling processes to improve patient access, and managing the logistical details of faculty recruitment, onboarding, and travel. You will also serve as a key contact for IT and facilities issues, ensuring that the division's operational infrastructure runs seamlessly.
To be considered for an interview, applicants must upload a Resume and Cover Letter to the submission portal, marking them as a "Relevant File." Job openings are posted for a minimum of 7 calendar days and may be filled at any time after the posting period ends. Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any conviction history and will be subject to a criminal background check and credential/education verification.
