About the Position

The San Bernardino Community College District is maintaining a continuous pool of qualified applicants for part-time, hourly adjunct positions across its two campuses: San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College. This specific posting establishes a pool for the role of Adjunct - Professor, Anatomy and Physiology.

Please note that the existence of this pool does not guarantee active recruitment for this specific position at this time. If a department identifies an interest or need, applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted directly by the respective department deans or faculty chairs. Submitted applications remain active in the pool for up to one year.

Application Instructions

To be considered a qualified applicant, you must submit all required documents through the SBCCD online employment website. Paper applications and incomplete submissions will not be accepted. Your determination of eligibility will be based solely on the information provided in the online application; resumes will only be reviewed after minimum requirements are satisfied in the application form.

Required documents include:

  1. Online Application: Complete the full SBCCD application. Do not state "See Resume" on the form.
  2. Resume: Summarizing your educational and professional experience.
  3. Cover Letter: Explaining how your background demonstrates that you meet the minimum requirements.
  4. Teaching Philosophy: A statement of your beliefs about teaching and learning, including concrete examples of how you implement these beliefs in the classroom.
  5. Unofficial Transcripts: Showing you meet the minimum educational requirements. Transcripts must be legible and from a US accredited institution (or include an official equivalency evaluation for international institutions). Highlight the degree name, major, and date conferred. Copies of diplomas are not accepted in lieu of transcripts.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements is mandatory for eligibility. Selected candidates must:

  • Submit to and successfully pass DOJ live scan/fingerprinting (cost borne by the candidate).
  • Provide sealed official transcripts or electronic copies sent directly from the institution.
  • Complete a Tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment.
  • Fulfill any other position-specific requirements, such as certifications or licenses.

These requirements align with the San Bernardino Community College District's Administrative Procedures and Board Policies.
