As an Adjunct Instructor and Reference Librarian at Joliet Junior College, you will serve as a vital faculty member bridging the gap between students and the library's vast resources. This role is designed to empower a diverse student population by providing high-quality instruction in information literacy and research skills. You will work collaboratively with full-time faculty to assess student needs, adhere to course guidelines, and deliver engaging library instruction sessions that foster academic success.
Your day-to-day involves serving as the primary faculty contact at the Reference Desk, assisting students, staff, and the public in locating information and mastering library technologies. Beyond direct patron support, you will contribute to the creation of research support materials and participate in collection maintenance activities.
