You will join the Enterprise Payments 1st Line of Defense risk team, a group of dedicated professionals focused on creating a best-in-class client experience, evolving product offerings, and ensuring the streamlined delivery of services. As part of the Platform Sponsorship Program, this team plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of day-to-day risk oversight functions for sponsored entities. The scope of clients includes direct merchants ranging from small businesses to large mid-market clients, as well as sponsored clients such as independent sales organizations (ISOs) and payment facilitators (PFs).
Reporting directly to the Senior Segment Risk Manager, you will serve as a leader with deep knowledge of sponsorship acquiring and issuing models. Your primary mission is to ensure appropriate governance, oversight, and risk management policies are implemented and followed. You will act as a subject matter expert, advising and guiding operational risk initiatives while developing and monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Your day-to-day involves collaborating with various risk partners and stakeholders across the organization, including the 2nd Line of Defense Risk, Enterprise Fraud, InfoSec, Third Party Relationship Management, and 3rd Line of Defense. You will participate in strategy development and go-to-market meetings, manage client interactions during the governance process, and support the identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of operational risks such as fraud, cybersecurity, model risk, and third-party risk. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement by determining lessons learned from onboarding a variety of clients to enhance the end-to-end client experience.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to assess technical expertise in merchant acquiring and risk management, as well as cultural fit within the Enterprise Payments team. Specific steps and timelines will be communicated by the hiring team upon application review.
