About the Role
As an Associate Accountant, you will support the Accounts Payable function, reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor. This position is vital for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor payments and maintaining robust financial records. You will apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in your daily work, utilizing NetSuite in conjunction with the University's system of record, PeopleSoft, to enhance financial tracking and reporting.
Beyond transactional accuracy, you will identify procedural improvements based on analysis and specialized accounting knowledge to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable process. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where strong problem-solving skills are essential.
