About the Role
We are a local benefits and insurance firm seeking an Accounting Specialist to support our Finance Department. In this role, you will be instrumental in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, managing invoices and payments, and reconciling accounts across multiple entities. You will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the financial integrity of our organization while supporting a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage incoming mail including sorting and distribution
- check_circleEnter vendor invoices and process employee expense reports
- check_circleResearch and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
- check_circleRespond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status
- check_circleReconcile corporate credit card statements
- check_circleGenerate customer invoices and post incoming payments
- check_circlePrepare bank deposits using remote deposit capture
- check_circleMaintain accurate AP/AR records within the accounting system
- check_circleMonitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent required
- verified1–3 years of AP/AR or general accounting experience required
- verifiedProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- verifiedStrong understanding of general ledger functions
- verifiedAssociate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- verifiedExperience with QuickBooks Enterprise preferred
- verifiedKnowledge of intercompany billing, job costing, and class accounting preferred
Nice to Have
