Accounting Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day operations for our team based in Sheboygan, WI. In this position, you will contribute across payables, receivables, inventory-related accounting tasks, and administrative support, ensuring accuracy in all financial data.

You will oversee incoming invoices and outgoing payments while helping maintain timely and accurate accounts payable and receivable activity. Your day will involve assisting with billing support, payment tracking, and follow-up tasks to keep account balances current and well documented. You will also help reduce outstanding backlogs by organizing records, resolving open items, and supporting daily administrative operations.

A key part of your role includes participating in weekly inventory accounting activities, such as reviewing product costing details and processing necessary adjustments. You will reconcile account information, investigate discrepancies to support accurate financial reporting, and maintain organized financial files to preserve record accuracy and consistency. Additionally, you will support routine accounting cycle activities and provide general assistance to the broader office as needed.
