About the Role

The Accounting Assistant serves as a vital support pillar for the Accounting Manager and the broader accounting department. This role is designed to ensure the smooth execution of month-end activities and the accurate management of accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with minimal direct supervision to maintain the integrity of financial data.

In this position, you will be the bridge between daily operational data and financial reporting. Your day will involve applying accounting principles to various duties, performing detailed data entry and analysis, and assisting with statement reconciliations. You will maintain and verify ledgers across specialized software programs such as Manager Plus, Agrian, and AR Tracking. Additionally, you will support the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing and payments, manage chemical inventory tracking, and provide general office support including filing and administrative tasks. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to prepare timely reports for management review.
