About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. This permanent role is designed for individuals with a strong understanding of financial principles and a knack for numbers. You will play a pivotal part in our financial operations, managing critical tasks such as journal entries, accounts receivable, the 3-way match process, general ledger maintenance, and invoice processing.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems. Your day-to-day will involve ensuring the accuracy of business transactions, assisting with month-end closing processes, and contributing to the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProcess invoices for payment ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded
- check_circleAssist with month-end closing processes including account analysis and report preparation
- check_circleSupport the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- check_circlePerform 3 Way Match process to verify accuracy of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
- check_circleHandle accounts receivable duties including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- check_circleMaintain the general ledger by preparing trial balances and reconciling entries
- check_circleCollaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems
- check_circleReconcile invoices, identify discrepancies, and create or update expense reports
- check_circlePrepare and manage journal entries to ensure accurate and timely recording of business transactions
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- verifiedStrong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations
- verifiedProficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- verifiedProfessional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a plus
