About the Role
The Finance team currently manages the accounting for Stenograph LLC and its recent acquisition, TranscribeMe Holding LLC. While these entities are currently operated with separate accounting systems, the long-term strategic goal is to consolidate operations into a single ERP platform.
The Senior Accountant will serve as a hands-on working accountant, executing all general accounting functions for both organizations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closes while navigating the complexities of integrating two distinct financial environments. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can operate independently with high accountability. You will need to be flexible, shifting focus between Stenograph and TranscribeMe as priorities evolve, and possess a mindset geared toward process improvement and growth as accounting workflows mature.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleExecute general accounting functions and perform month-end and year-end close activities
- check_circleMaintain the general ledger and ensure timely posting of transactions in accordance with GAAP
- check_circlePrepare balance sheet reconciliations, revenue and expense analyses, and supporting schedules
- check_circleManage fixed assets including depreciation calculations, capital acquisitions, and disposals
- check_circleProduce financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analyses
- check_circleAnalyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts to identify key drivers
- check_circleParticipate in the development of annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts
- check_circleIdentify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency
- check_circlePrepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
Requirements
- verified5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- verifiedStrong understanding of GAAP
- verifiedProficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Nice to Have
Experience with NetSuite. CPA designation. Strong process improvement mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
