Join a growing academic OBGYN group at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. This dynamic practice features 18 physicians, including a robust support team of 2 Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, 1 Reproductive Endocrinologist, 1 Urogynecologist, 1 pediatric and adolescent gynecologist, and 1 pelvic floor therapist. As a new physician, you will join a team of 12 generalists within a department dedicated to clinical excellence and education.
This position offers a unique blend of clinical practice and academic leadership. You will participate in the day-to-day activities of the division while providing direct clinical supervision and didactic instruction to residents. The role includes delivering student lectures, seminars, and clinical teaching aligned with the curriculum devised by the Clerkship Director.
The department is part of a larger academic ecosystem, featuring a 12-resident OBGYN residency and a three-year neonatal-perinatal fellowship program. The broader medical school offers training in 10 residency and 14 fellowship programs, with over 250 residents and fellows working alongside 400 providers across 75 areas of care. You will also collaborate with the Curriculum Committee to ensure departmental goals align with institutional objectives and consult with the Chair on potential market opportunities.
