Faculty Appointment - Outpatient ONLY Pediatric Urology

About the Opportunity

On behalf of Dr. Daniel Herz, Division Chief of Urology at Connecticut Children’s, CareerPhysician, LLC has initiated a national search for a fellowship-trained pediatric urology provider. This role is designed to serve an expanding clinical and educational presence for the division in Westport, CT, located 54 miles north of Manhattan.

Connecticut Children’s is the state’s only stand-alone children’s hospital. The new clinic in Fairfield County is a critical component of the clinical growth strategy for the urology service, serving as an anchor program for the brand with a reach of approximately 1.5 million pediatric patient lives. The selected physician will be the first full-time pediatric urology physician in southern Connecticut, working closely with the division chief to build on the established presence in the region.

The Role and Environment

This is a predominantly outpatient position centered in Fairfield County with no on-call responsibility at Connecticut Children’s Hospital in Hartford. The joining urologist will work in a new multi-specialty clinic in Westport, featuring modern office space, procedure rooms, and an ambulatory surgical center just minutes away.

The provider will function with a high degree of autonomy in a multi-disciplinary environment alongside other pediatric sub-specialists. The role includes participating in divisional educational programs and clinical research opportunities. The selected physician will focus on building relationships and referrals in one of the region's fastest-growing counties while serving as a brand ambassador for Connecticut Children’s.

Support and Resources

The position is designed for immediate impact with robust support structures already in place. The clinic will be staffed with full-time nursing support and a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP). Additionally, block time will be available at two regional Surgery Centers in Stamford and Norwalk. A medical directorship appointment will be considered after one year of faculty service in Westport.
