City Year is an AmeriCorps program dedicated to helping students across schools succeed. Our teams of AmeriCorps members provide support to students, classrooms, and the whole school, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that prepares them with the skills and mindset to thrive and contribute to their community.
As a Student Success Coach and Mentor, your service will focus on coaching and mentoring elementary, middle, and/or high school students. You will partner with teachers and school staff to help students earn academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors. This role is designed for those who want to build themselves, give back, and are ready to change the world.
While experience in these specific tasks is not necessary, you will receive 2-4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year. You will work collaboratively with partner teachers every step of the way to plan and monitor individual student progress, support whole-class instruction, and create engaging, safe, and healthy classroom spaces.
To apply, visit joincityyear.force.com and submit your completed application online. For more information on the application process, visit cityyear.org.
City Year AmeriCorps members are as varied as the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who are committed to our mission.
