As a Certified Elementary School Teacher, you will serve as a vital partner in the educational journey of young learners. Under limited supervision, you will plan and present engaging lessons that contribute to the development of students' academic abilities. Your day-to-day work involves guiding the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicating these effectively to students.
You will be responsible for creating a supportive classroom culture, employing a variety of instructional techniques, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. Beyond the classroom, you will foster positive relationships with parents through conferences and workshops, assist students with special needs, and collaborate with administration to ensure a safe and orderly school environment. This role requires a balance of independent judgment and teamwork, as you supervise teaching assistants, coordinate special programs, and participate in staff committees to enhance the school community.
Candidates must possess a valid South Carolina teaching certificate or be eligible for one in the appropriate certified area. Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
