As a Certified Elementary School Teacher at Sandel Elementary School, you will serve as a vital partner in shaping the educational journey of young learners. Under limited supervision, you will plan and present engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of your students. This role is about more than just delivering curriculum; it is about creating a classroom environment conducive to learning that respects the maturity and interests of each child.
In this position, you will guide the learning process toward the achievement of clear curriculum goals, employing a variety of instructional techniques and media. You will be responsible for assessing student accomplishments, maintaining accurate records, and providing progress reports to families. A key part of your day involves building positive relationships with parents through conferences and workshops, while also collaborating with administration to ensure a safe and orderly school environment. You will have the opportunity to supervise teaching assistants, coordinate special programs, and serve as an adviser to student organizations, making a tangible impact on the school community.
Candidates must possess a valid South Carolina teaching certificate or be eligible for one in the appropriate certified area. The selection process focuses on identifying educators who demonstrate the ability to apply rational systems to solve practical problems, exercise independent judgment, and maintain high standards of accuracy and dependability.
