About the Role

Southwest City School is seeking a dedicated Certified Teacher to join our elementary team, serving students in grades 1 through 6. This position is designed to lead individual students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. The role exists to foster a supportive learning environment where every child can thrive through effective instruction and meaningful engagement.

As an Elementary Teacher, you will be the primary guide for your students, responsible for creating a classroom culture that values diversity, safety, and active learning. Your day will involve designing and delivering lesson plans that align with district curriculum and state standards, while utilizing student performance data to tailor instruction to individual needs. Beyond the classroom, you will collaborate closely with colleagues, administration, and families to ensure a cohesive educational experience.

Hiring Process

Candidates must possess a current Missouri Teacher Certificate endorsed for the specific area of employment. The selection process involves a review of qualifications followed by an interview with the building principal and district administration. Successful candidates will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy.
