About the Team

At JPMorgan Chase, we create positive change for the diverse communities we serve by championing innovative ideas within a supportive culture. As one of the oldest financial institutions with over 200 years of history, we are a leader in investment banking, consumer and small business banking, commercial banking, financial transaction processing, and asset management. Our Corporate & Investment Bank Public Finance Program focuses on long-term relationships, developing strategies that help government and corporate clients grow and innovate.

About the Role

As a Summer Analyst within the Public Finance Program, you will spend your summer working alongside top professionals to shape the U.S. economy. You will create solutions for the complex financing needs of state and local governments, non-profit healthcare, higher education, housing institutions, utilities, and certain corporations issuing debt in the capital markets. This role provides exposure to all aspects of the capital markets by working closely with sales, trading, and underwriting desks for prospective and live transactions.

Working here means joining a collaborative, supportive team where your diverse perspective helps us innovate the next wave of products and solutions. The nine-week program kicks off with five days of orientation and training to build technical and practical skills, followed by projects that engage all your abilities. Top performers may receive a full-time job offer at the end of the summer.

Hiring Process

We fill our classes on a rolling basis, so we strongly encourage you to submit your application as early as possible. Your application and resume are our initial way to get to know you, so please ensure all relevant questions are completed.

After your application is reviewed, if you advance to the next step, you will receive an email invitation to complete:

  1. A video interview.
  2. A math test powered by HireVue.

Completion of both the video interview and math test is required for your application to be considered for further review. We encourage you to complete these steps as soon as possible, as programs close as positions are filled.

Our Culture & Commitment

JPMorgan Chase is committed to creating an inclusive work environment that respects all people for their unique skills, backgrounds, and professional experiences. We strive to hire qualified, diverse candidates and place a high value on diversity and inclusion. We do not discriminate on the basis of any protected attribute, including race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital or veteran status, pregnancy, or disability. We also make reasonable accommodations for applicants' and employees' religious practices, beliefs, mental health, or physical disability needs.

To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. We offer limited sponsorship for those enrolled in STEM degree programs heavily indexed in finance.
