As a Teacher at Cavazos Middle School, you will serve as a vital guide in the core academic journey of our students. This role exists to bridge the gap between curriculum standards and individual student needs, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive. You will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that reflect the district's curriculum while accommodating diverse learning styles. Your day will involve creating a classroom environment conducive to learning, managing student behavior, and utilizing technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process.
Beyond the classroom, you will act as a positive role model, supporting the district's mission and vision. You will collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), supervise teacher aides, and engage with parents and the community to maintain open lines of communication. This position requires a professional who is committed to ongoing development, actively participating in staff development activities and faculty meetings to continuously improve job-related skills and district contributions.
Interested candidates should ensure they possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate with the required endorsements. Applications are reviewed based on demonstrated competency in the assigned subject area and at least one year of student teaching or approved internship experience.
