The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Forestry and Wildlife manages the State of Hawaii's Forest Reserves, Natural Area Reserves, Wildlife Sanctuaries, Game Management Areas, and Public Hunting Areas. Our mission encompasses forestry, wildlife conservation, trail maintenance, and the stewardship of natural area reserves.
This position supports the Oahu Wildlife Resources and Management Section's Hunting Management Program. The program is dedicated to establishing and maintaining Public Hunting and Game Management Areas to provide public hunting opportunities. We also work to expand these opportunities, enhance gamebird populations, and provide technical assistance to hunting interest groups and clubs. Additionally, team members participate in wildland fire suppression operations to protect these vital ecosystems.
