About the Team
DCS is seeking a Software Tester to join a dedicated team supporting the NAVY Test Wing Atlantic. The group operates within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, driving the migration of a federated application into a cloud-based service hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The team leverages the Atlassian tool suite to manage the development, testing, and deployment of software solutions for critical platforms.
About the Role
This position is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of software tools that comprise the broader solution. You will interface directly with project managers, government stakeholders, vendors, and developmental organizations to define system requirements, design specifications, and implementation strategies. Your work will involve providing critical inputs for sprint planning and execution, covering scope, needs, and schedules.
The role requires a blend of design, development, integration, and testing for target software. You will be expected to possess strong technical expertise in C#, C++, and Python, with a specific focus on developing automated tests using RobotFramework and MatLab. The team operates in a hybrid environment, fostering collaboration through in-office work on Mondays and Tuesdays, with telework utilized for the remainder of the week.
Hiring Process
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold a Secret security clearance on Day One, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SAP US Government Secret security clearance. The selection process prioritizes candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Database Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, along with at least three years of relevant experience in systems and software requirements analysis, design, and integration.
