The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Welder II to join our Production team on the Night Shift in Sioux Falls, SD, to help build top-quality grain conveyors from scratch. You will work with fresh, rust-free steel and precision laser-cut parts that fit together seamlessly, making your work straightforward and efficient.
Our modern, climate-controlled facility is equipped with excellent weld fume extraction to ensure clear air and a comfortable environment. You will utilize MIG welders in a dedicated weld cell featuring an overhead bridge crane and hoist for easy parts handling. This role offers the chance to weld with precision and pride in a shop designed to make your work easier and better.
The Team
Our large production team consists of welders, assemblers, metal fabricators, powder coaters, and more. As a Welder II, you will collaborate closely with your Production Supervisor and peers to produce high-quality grain conveyors for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleRead and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine welding requirements
- check_circleFabricate complex components using MIG welding (GMAW) process with minimal supervision
- check_circleInspect own welds for compliance with quality standards
- check_circleFollow company safety rules and OSHA regulations including wearing required PPE
- check_circlePosition and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures
- check_circleSet up MIG welding units to obtain specific amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse settings
- check_circleChip off excess weld, slag, and spatter from completed joints
- check_circleTack assemblies together prior to final welding
- check_circleClean or de-grease parts to prepare for welding or assembly
Requirements
- verified2-5 years progressive experience in welding field, preferably MIG welding, in a manufacturing environment
- verifiedAbility to interpret intermediate blueprints
- verifiedAbility to read and use tape measures
